View an instruction video on how to use a basic paddle rack HERE.

This video demonstrates the 2 fundamental rules of how to use the racks:

1 - Load paddles from LEFT TO RIGHT. When the right hand end of the rack is reached start over at the left hand edge.

2 - Move the "NEXT" indicator from LEFT TO RIGHT as paddles are pulled. When the right hand end paddles are pulled move the indicator all the way to the left hand edge.

The racks in this video use a sliding yellow ball as their "NEXT" indicator. Our racks use an indicator with the word "NEXT". SAME PROCESS. Their racks in the first half of the video are smaller than ours but the [optional] second half of the video continues the same LEFT TO RIGHT theme with more paddle capacity.

The other suggestion (it should be the third rule) is to PULL ALL FOUR PADDLES at the same time and simultaneously move the indicator, LEFT TO RIGHT. That keeps it clear what is going on.

The color strips on our racks are only for convenience.

One scenario that the video does not demonstrate -

If a player or 2 want to "change the mix" so the same players aren't always in the same game pairing they may skip a few holes in the rack. This will create a gap of vacant holes in the middle of the paddle grouping. KEEP THE SAME BASIC THEORY. Load paddles in the holes in the gap from LEFT TO RIGHT until all holes are filled.

If you cruise around the web you will find a few other "how to use a rack" videos. They all share the same basic rule of LEFT TO RIGHT and don't forget to move the sliding indicator LEFT TO RIGHT!
